Workshop 1 – Sustainable Human to Building Behavioural Interaction 29th – 31st October 2024
This workshop will bring together experts from the UK and Egypt, including researchers, industry stakeholders, and professors. The research teams from LSBU and BUE have been working virtually since February 2024 to review the latest energy-saving technologies for the built environment, with a specific focus on educational buildings. The teams will meet for the first time in London on 29th October 2024. Throughout the week, from 29th October to 1st November, the researchers will engage with faculty staff, other researchers, and industry experts to deepen their understanding of the latest advances in retrofit and energy-saving measures in the built environment and assess their potential applications in Egypt. The significance of the SusHumBuild institutional link project between the British University in Egypt (BUE) and London South Bank University (LSBU) lies in bridging the gap between the rapid advancements in research, technology and training relating to energy.
We believe this workshop will also provide an excellent opportunity for networking and exploring potential joint bids between BUE and other stakeholders in the UK and Egypt.
